SSR : Self-Selected Reading
*All students should have a book to read with them at all times.
*This book should be appropriate for their reading level, a 3.0 accelerated reader point value (generally), and not made into a movie. There are plenty of choices in my classroom to check out.
*Students are to read at least 20 minutes a day. A reading log will need to be filled in daily with 1 to 3 sentences to tell important information from the reading. This counts as a nightly homeworrk assignment.
Students should take the AR test as soon as they finish a book and can turn in the AR slip into the basket on my desk anytime before a due date. Due dates for AR tests for fourth quarter: May 20.
*Any extra slips turned in for books read and AR tests taken with 8 or more correct adds bonus points on.
